Consulting for Clubs and Societies

I am available to help your club or society with matters such as:

Consititutions:
writing or updating your constitution so that it is fit for your organisation's purposes. This can include helping write/update the text of your constitution, and helping you manage the required engagement with your members to get an acceptable text agreed, and managing the necessary meetings required to formally approve and adopt the constitution, including helping you through the process of filing the new constitution with the Registrar;

Registering (or re-registering) as a Society:
helping you understand the pros and cons of being an incorporated society, and if you decide to go ahead and (re)register as a society, helping you through the process to do so;

Required Society Registers:
helping you understand the information you need to maintain to properly run your society, and helping you set up and run the necessary internal registers, such as Register of Members, and Register of Interests;

Meetings:
planning for and running your annual or special general meetings;

Registering as a Charity:
explaining the pros and cons of doing so, who can register as a charity, what you need to do so, and how to go about registering, and then how to record the necessary info throughout the year so that you can create and file a compliant annual return;

Dealing with difficult people or problems:
helping you follow due process to fairly resolve difficulties as quickly and painlessly as possible;

Winding Up:
helping you follow the processes set out in your constitution, if you have one (some clubs don't), to properly wind up your club or society.
